Three is the Magic Number – De La Soul

PP 5-2.3
I’ve always like threes. I’m sure friends who are better versed in numerology, or astrology, or reading tea leaves for deeper meanings, would find great significance in this. But me: Eh, it just seemed like a good place — not too early and not too late, not too little and not too much.

So bearing all of this in mind, I’m hosting the third and final Product Placement of the spring season. (It’s also suspiciously close to my birthday, but I assure that’s just coincidence.) It’s a stellar lineup of talents talking about 3D printing and graphics, so hope to see you there for some wine and insight. For more artist bios, see Product Placement.

Product Placement 5.2

5.2_2 The last one was so fun that I’ve organized another one. For more details on the five-pack of speakers — as well as a sneak peek of their projects — visit our Product Placement site. And a round of thanks to Rockwell Group for graciously hosting this season’s series of talks.

Product Placement Returns!

PP_April_23So who are going to be the speakers who kick off Product Placement’s fifth –- fifth! — year of designer talks, mental mayhem, and lovely wine and snacks? Glad you asked, as I’ve been busy planning the slate. The presenters for the April 23 edition at Rockwell Group will be:

Brad Ascalon, whose practice skates between product, packaging, and furniture design
• Jeweler and sculptor Darcy Miro
Anna Rabinowicz / RabLabs, whose designs are inspired by nature and biomimcry
• The wire artist, sculptor, and product designer Rodger Stevens

Doors open at 6:30PM, with presentations beginning at 7PM. The event is free but space is limited. Please RSVP with your name and number in your party to thisisproductplacement@gmail.com (Due to demand, only those who receive a confirmation will be able to attend.)
