I can thank the Sex Pistols for my career, for it was upon winning a fellowship to study British punk that I moved to London two decades ago and began writing professionally.
Now I specialize in content and brand strategy for design, architecture, and technology companies. I’ve served as a communications writer in the corporate marketing department of Perkins+Will, where I developed all copy for the firm-wide rebrand, repositioned several practice areas, and created new editorial templates for marketing.
I came to the position from Architectural Record, where I was products editor and editor in chief of bimonthly sister magazine SNAP.
Other gigs have included columnist for Fast Company's Co. Design; senior editor of wearables & technology at British trend consultancy Stylus Fashion; and founding editor / senior copywriter at e-commerce sites Gilt, Gilt Home, and Parents.com.
My journalism pieces also have appeared in The New York Times, Fast Company, Elle, British GQ, Metropolis, and Wired, among other outlets.
